After completing my student teaching at Fort Campbell High School in Kentucky I was offered a position to teach English at another one of the military schools located on the base. I had thoroughly enjoyed teaching Senior English-it presented a challenge to me as I was only 22 and my "students" were 17 and 18 years old. I helped supervise the Senior play and talent show and found it to be a rewarding experience helping these students to grow in their knowledge of English grammar and to learn to appreciate their study of English literature.
My style of teaching was geared to the individuality of each child and his learning abilities. I feel that each child must learn at his own pace and it is my place to deal with this. A Little Bit About Me...

After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. My last full time position was teaching high school material in a one room school to students who were wards of the state. I taught anger management for the local courts for eight years. Now I teach parenting classes for divorcing couples for the Giles County court. I also occasionally teach a seminar for attorneys on body language.
As both a teacher and a counselor I have worked to develop a teaching style that is student focused.
