I excel at teaching intensive phonics and addition/subtraction/multiplication/division facts. Besides giving my students a strong foundation to build on, I also love to energize their internal motivation to succeed.
My love of kids lead me to get a Masters in Elementary Education. I taught third grade for three years and fourth grade one year in private Christian schools. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently I teach first grade in Lexington School District One. I work everyday to help struggling readers and challenge others. I have been “formally” teaching for one year. Before I began teaching in Lexington, I attended the University of South Carolina for a BA in Psychology and MAT in Early Childhood Education. During this time I completed many observations and practicums. Many of these projects involved me working one on one with children to assist and help them learn a new skill.
