While in attendance at the University of Arkansas, I earned two degrees, a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in American Studies. In addition to these degrees, I also earned a minor in History. As I was completing my undergraduate degree, I participated in varsity athletics, maintained a part-time job, was active in student government, and volunteered through AAO. I am very patient and reassuring to students and wait for them to get the answer on their own when tutoring mathematics. I show them how to do it first, then let them try, and then re-explain. We would continue this repetitively with different problems until they can do it independently. It is also important to listen very carefully as to what they are saying. I have extensive experience in mentoring minors and persons with intellectual disabilites for 3 years. When teaching accounting practice or theory there is no substitute for working problems. Repetition of working problems helps all students gain insight of accounting rules and principles. I am a very patient person who is willing to do what ever it takes to see a student succeed in their academic endeavors.
