Experienced math tutor.

I have been tutoring at Forsyth Technical Community College since September 2008. I work on average, over the 5 years, 15 hours a week, but now working 21 hours a week since I am now out of school. I have done private tutoring for about 3 years now, either with people from met from school or from tutoring. I got a BS in both Mathematics and Computer Science in May of 2013. Math and computers have always been my strength, and when getting my degree, I would always help my friends in their classes.
It depends on the student and what they are doing. If all they need is practice, then I will let the student do all of the work, interjecting only to give advice or to correct a mistake if the student does not catch it themselves. I try to explain concepts by explaining the methods behind them. Once a student understands the concepts, it is easier for them to apply them to other problem situations.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : Took a college Pre-Calculus course at UNCG. Passed it with a B-

I tutored an elementary school student in his math class and then that same school year in the Spring semester I helped out a college student with his pre-Calculus course. This was in 2013-2014 school year and it was a payment at my own discretion and on my own. I also have had experience working in an administration position in Human Resources area and it certainly helped me in organizational skills and communication skills.
I like interacting with students and openly communicating and socializing with students on topics related to math and real-world situations of their own thinking.
