I will work with the students and find where out where they are weakest. By doing so I will be able to give them the knowledge required to understand the material they are struggling with instead of teaching them how to solve the problem at that moment which will prevent them from struggling with mathematics their entire school career. I believe that with out understanding what is going on in the background the students will never fully understand what they are doing. A Little Bit About Me...

I've taught in a Preschool classroom at my church for 1 year, and I've been a substitute teacher for the 2nd grade classroom at my church for 2 years. I've homeschooled two children for the past 11 years, and I've spent two years as a math instructor at a homeschool co-op. I've also worked as a tutor for Eastern Washington University's Computer Sciene Department for 2 years, and I've mentored several co-workers in software development over the past 28 years.
I treat math phobias and anxiety with respect. I teach students to be relentless when conquering their math problems. With the younger crowd, I often turn it into a game. With older kids and teens, I stress the importance of exposure and repetition.
