A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored individuals in grades 1-12 in various subject areas. I have been encouraged to pursue English, Writing, and Journalism as professions because of my talent in each area. I have tested at least 4 grade levels above my grade level since I began taking standardized tests. I have the ability to disect subjects in a way that makes learning fun and understandable.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that all people fall short of their maximum potential. Finding the right motivation for people is a gift that I have. This is, however, no guarantee of success when dealing with the individual mind, but it does improve the circumstances. I can motivate, but I cannot do the work for a student, thus personal responsibility is a must for success. I write in a very concise and efficient manner. There is very little fluff in my compositions. I will promote logical thought, proper syntax, proper grammar, and essay layouts (according to the assigned format) for my students. I taught high school and middle school Spanish for two and half years at public schools, and completed my student teaching at an alternative school for juvenile criminals. I was an at home teacher for my school district when children were out for extended periods due to illness. I have completed additional continuing education in working with gifted and special needs children. I enjoy sharing my passion for learning with others and love to see the “light” come on when a student finally understands a concept.

I have recently completed student teaching and have earned my teaching certificate as an art specialist. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students at different levels with varying abilities. I have had internships at the high school and elementary levels, with time spent both in the art classroom as well as the special education classroom.
