I recently spent my final year in college employed by Ohio University as a tutor for athletes. I was paired with a young wrestler and my duties were to help him with all aspects of his studies. We covered courses including mathematics, finance, and economics. We generally met from four to six hours per week. In January of 2008, I was hired to work at the University of Akron – Wayne College Learning Center as a peer tutor. We are responsible for helping students that come in seeking tutoring (including test preparation and homework help). Over the past two plus years, I have tutored students in mathematics (college level basic math 1 through calculus one) and chemistry.
