A Little Bit About Me...

With my students, I strive for not only mastery of the Russian and English languages, but also an understanding of Russian culture on the whole. I stress the importance of correct pronunciation and practice speaking and listening extensively. Though we do many written exercises, I find that language acquisition through conversation is key. I am very passionate about my subject matter and can't wait to take on a new student, with whom I can have the opportunity to work one on one.

I've tutored at inner-city schools and in one-on-one environments. I have also tutored numerous Russian-speaking adults, children, refugees, and asylees in English through a non-profit organization. This assistace helped them become self sufficient and learn English and American culture. I thoroughly enjoyed that tutoring, and have since become a teacher.

I began tutoring Russian language when I was living in South Korea. After moving to the States, I've been tutoring various subjects such as Statistics, Math, and Finance at the Math and Business Center of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
