A Little Bit About Me...

I subscribe to the principle: tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you have told them. To avoid mind-numbing repetition, I present the material with a combination of text and pictures, then review the material with ungraded short answer exercises ("active learning – I do and I understand"). Then we summarize. I also connect what the student is learning with previous course content to promote learning by association. I use a variety of exercises to reinforce content, including case studies, diagram creation and annotation, group discussion (where a group is available).

A Little Bit About Me...

I love to help people in the best way I can so they can achieve their goals. I was taught by my professors that everyone learns in different ways. The difference in learning styles is where I believe that I can help students excel by providing different ways of learn, understanding, and obtaining educational information.
I graduated from Saint Joseph College with a BS in biology, which allowed me to build a foundation within life sciences and mathematics. I learned critical skills that allowed me to develop excellent grammatical skills through generating numerous lab reports and research papers. I continued my education by obtaining certification in histological science, which allowed me to have hands on experience. It also landed me an internship at Pfizer. During my high school and college years I tutored many students in the subjects of mathematics, chemistry, and biology.
