A Little Bit About Me...

I am a certified teacher k-12 in visual arts and have been teaching for the last ten years. I have an AA -Aeronautics, BA-Graphic Design, M.Ed.Art and MDiv degree. I have been tasked with improving the reading and writing skills of my students 9th through 12th grade. The majority of children are left brain thinkers and need to be challenged to utilize the right brain to evaluate, analyze, interpret, and understand the meaning of concepts and ideas. Higher level depth of knowledge thinking must employ the elements of the right brain: imagination, creativity, intuition, faith, and innovation, which are all necessary elements in problem solving.

Worked as a teacher assistant for 10 years and the office for 5 years. I am use to an educational setting and is familiar with the education process of tutoring children. I have worked with fourth, fifth, and sixth graders in preparing them for MCT tests and exit exams. I have tutored in elementary english, math and computer.
