The next procedure would involve passage reading and comprehension followed by implementation by putting "pen to paper". As with all cases of subject matter retention, repetition is the key to memory, closely accompanied by an understanding of the material and need for the application of the writing rules for student advancement.

I believe that all children learn differently and at different levels and as a teacher, you need to recongize that and adapt your lessons to your students so they can achieve. For social studies, most student think that class is all about taking notes and reading from the book but I put a twist on all of my lessons. I do a lot of group projects, I have the students do presentations for each other on the material and also reanacts of big events to help the students understand what really happened with that specific event and how it impacted history.
