My comments on tutoring Elementary Study Skills : Each child has their own individual learning strategies and I work with them to find the best way for them to learn. Ex: hands on, auditory, kinesthetic.

I have been working with Elementary aged children for over 7 years. I have had many different teaching experiences working with grades K-2. I have tutored primarily in reading with an emphasis on guided reading strategies, phonemic awareness, and word building. In the area of math, I have experience with the programs: Calendar math, Investigations, and Singapore Math. For Writing, I have used the Lucy Culkins Program as well as 6 Traits writing. I have completed my undergrad at IUP with a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education and have recently obtained my Masters in Education with a concentration on Special Education Supervisory.
