I have a degree in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz. I am familiar I have also taught elementary school mathematics at traditional high school and at a Charter High School in the Central Valley and in San Jose Ca. I have over four years experience tutoring students, both at university level and high school level. I offer a tailored approach to each student, establishing the particular areas of strength and weakness. I aim to establish or reestablish interest in math and also to teach exam techniques. My tutoring is to focus and prior knowledge and to reinforce new information to the student. I think each student is differnt and so is their learning style. As a teacher I want my student to find their confidence in math which mostly comes when they understand the subject completely. I not only have lot of experience under my belt but since I compelted part of studies in a different school system, I am able to explain one problem in several different ways.
