My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have been pretty good in English. My mom has her BA in English and I have defiantly picked up her English genes

I am currently a senior at Sherando High School in Stephens City, VA. I have always been and A and B student. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and received a 1300 on my SATs. I love to help others out in any way possible. I love to meet new people and help them achieve in school so they can a have promising future! I have taken Honors World History I and II, I have taken College Prep English 11 and am currently in College Prep English 12. I am in my high school’s Marching band and Symphonic band; I play the clarinet and bass clarinet, and have been in band for 7 years. Band is a passion of mine and I absolutely love every minute of it. I have not had much experience in tutoring, but I have helped many friends out in many subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe all children can learn. A good teacher tries to find each child's individual learning style and accomodate lessons to match it. I also think learning should be fun, so I use a lot of games and other incentives. I am patient, have a good sense of humor, and have age and the experience of being the mother of two twenty-somethings on my side.
I taught in the Wright City RII School District for 26 years, at both high school and middle school level. During that time I taught everything from English and American literature to basic grammar and writing skills. I also taught some reading classes. I have extensive experience in writing research papers and strong skills in grammar and punctuation.
