When I entered college I was immediately drawn to tutor my peers as needed. I worked with the single mom's program at IVC and also did job coaching for the City of Long Beach Disabled program. Once I graduated from college I had the opportunity to join the Boys & Girls Clubs, specifically designing educational and technology programs. I enjoyed tutoring about 50 youth a day. As a result some parents requested that I run a special off hours program at their middle school to tutor the ADHD kids. Every child in that program raised their grades 60% over the course of the semester. I have worked with children and young people all my adult life from teaching VBS as a teenager to presently being a tutor and substitute teacher. In addition to my majors, I have minors in Greek and Western Culture. I wrote a substantial Master's Thesis. For the past 12 years I have also worked as a pastor.
