I have enjoyed the personal gratification of tutoring since high school. Since I was 15 years old, I have shared my knowledge and love of mathematics with people of all ages. I worked as a tutor in the Math Learning Center at Michigan State University for 3 years, and was also a teaching assistant for a precalculus for a semester while attending MSU. I have a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Michigan State, and have completed a semester of student teaching and graduate certification courses in teaching mathematics.
I like to use what the student already knows to prompt them forward into discovering how to complete the problem at hand on their own with guidance. I think this help connects the new material to the material the student already knows, which, in turn, will help them remember and understand it better.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : I like math and I'm bacharelor in bussines and accounting(studying) and I'm financial manager for a long time and it help me to teach basic math.

I began teaching 16 years . I taught mathematics and Portuguese for children with difficulties in doing homework . I continued to teach for five years or more. Pre-Algebra is one of my top subjects! A favorite subject.

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's.
