I love helping people learn. I like to find a way that helps them remember things, which sometimes mean making a game out of studing. Studying has to be funin order for someone to get anything out of it. I have recently earned my BA degree from the University of Florida in the field of Health Science. I am a college graduate of University of West Florida’s college of Building Construction and Engineering Technology. I have taken calculus 1 through 3, statics, dynamics, strength of materials, thermodynamics and many other math involved courses. I am not a complicated person and like to keep things basic and easy. Math is not hard, it is just simply following an accumulation of rules to get to an answer. Getting the answer to a question may give the big picture of what is trying to be achieved for some, but not for everyone. I can help explain the steps in getting the correct answer for a test and explain the big picture. I really like working with children from low income families. I think each child has a different interest and way of learning. I try to discover these learning styles before I begin the tutoring process. I try to allow them to be comfortable and having fun during our sessions. Most of the time I do a lot of question/conversation responses to allow them to find the answer for themselves. I like a problem based learning style, even for the youngest of children. I not only want to teach them how to properly concur their learning material but how to find the information they need if they do not know the answer.
