One of the most satisfying aspects of my teaching career has been helping students excel in quantitative reasoning and oral and written communication. I have taught finance, economics and quantitative methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels for more than ten years. I have worked in the financial services industry for more than thirty years.

I have been blessed with professors at the university level who understand the importance of one-on-one instruction. Through the "creativity" of thoughtful instructors I have seen myself grow and develop in ways that I hadn't thought possible. Every student learns differently, and once the instructor gets to know the student well enough and is able to tailor their lessons to the needs of the student, true learning happens. I have always had the macroscopic view of mathematics (from basic algebra to advanced calculus) to know how everything fits together. If students could learn simply by having a textbook read to them, then there would be no need for teachers. But the effective teacher can and will make the difference in a student's ability to succeed.
