Honor Student hoping to help students achieve success

I tutored all through college. I have tutored one-on-one and small groups, and I have also been a TA and taught a few class periods. In addition i tutored a student in High School in several subjects. Most of my experience tutoring has been in math, physics and engineering, but I am also fluent in Spanish.
My teaching style is helping the student arrive at the correct solution. In problem based courses this is usually done through asking the student what they think the next step should be and guiding them through the process of problem solving. Once they start to understand problem solving then they do not only improve in the course that I am tutoring them in but in their other courses as well. I started working in classroom settings in high school. I had three cadet teaching experiences in preschool, second grade, and seventh grade. I also graduated from Anderson University, where I started classroom practicum experiences in my second semester. During my first year out of college I have worked with ESL students, students with special needs, and led guided reading groups. I have also worked as an after school tutor in Math and Reading.
