Drama is one of my top subjects! I graduated with a B.A. in Theatre. I studied and have experience in all aspects of theatre from technical to performance. I have experience in straight, Shakespeare (my preference) and musical theatre. Some of the plays I have been in are Les Mis, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Godspell, Steel Magnolias, etc, as well as many acting classes.

I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Theatre. I took the performance track but I also studied the technical side of theatre. I have experience in everything from directing to stage management, playwriting to design, build to running sound and lights. In the performance track I studied character and script analysis, acting techniques, movement, voice, audition techniques, play review, etc. I know how to take the script to performance and also how to write about what I have done or seen. For as long as I can remember I have loved to learn. Through college I tutored in psychology, english, the arts, statistical math, and certain classifications of sciences. My favorites were psychology and english because of the freedom you can give due to interpretaional material.
As a psychology major I was fascinated with how the mind works in all arenas. I learned the various methodologies used in teaching people and found in my tutoring that finding a way to present even the most difficult material in a manner to make it understandable is greatly satisfying. A Little Bit About Me...

Everyone has the ability to learn but not everyone has the same ability. Most people are visual or tactile learners whereas most teachers, in my experience, use verbal/aural instruction methods. I believe in tailoring my teaching to the needs of the student and not to what I am most relaxed with. I have personally taught several tactile students who had to have something in their hands or they could not grasp the concepts. Other times I've instructed students in strong visual methods incorporating drawings, artwork and short videos.
