Making science understandible

Like to meet one a week for an hour or two to review things learned in class and meet 3 days before exam for 2 to 3 hours to make sure student is ready and confident.
Tutored freshman biology for 2 years. With time and a motivated student I have seen my students bring grades from D after a midterm to B by the end of the semester. I try to help my students better understand biology rather than just ask them to memorize.
