Let's start out by saying I am definitely not your average tutor! Fun is vital to motivation, and I live on the stuff! I have been teaching for over fifteen years in a variety of environments, working in inclusive environments with children aged birth to twelve. I am now in my second year as a Special Education Teacher at a private school in DC that specializes in working with children who have Learning and Emotional Disabilities. I hold my M.Ed.HD in Special Education from GWU and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I like to teach students not only the material but also how to study in general. I am sure learning how to study will help students throughout their lives.
I am a current international (korean), sophomore Economics major student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I have taught students since I was in high school. I have several tutoring experiences from volunteering at Churches in the DC metropolitan area to private 1 on 1 tutoring. I enjoy teaching a lot, and I really love it when students come to me with happy faces after doing well on their tests. I am able to teach different subjects, but my strongest area is math, especially algebra. I also like to teach English (2310 on SAT - 730 Reading, 780 Writing, 800 Math).
