Hands on, Practice based, through step by step instruction. Visual learning whenever applicable. Geometry, algebra, physics, and some calculus are in my range of teaching. I am very patient as long as the student is trying to learn and cares about the work. Mental support of students is half the battle.
I am comfortable tutoring lower level math classes, mechanical design, or other engineering classes. Writing classes such as English, literature, or fine arts are fine as well. I returned to school in 2007 to pursue a career in education. In several corporate positions, I was responsible for training new employees in various store operations. I feel as if I have been preparing for this role my entire life. While still in high school, I became a peer tutor for grades K-12.
