I graduated from the University of Rochester with my Masters in Education in 2010 and have been fortunate to have two great teaching experiences since graduation. I began my teaching career as a long-term Spanish substitute at Spencerport High School where I taught Spanish II and Spanish III. After this placement, I moved to Dake Junior HS in the West Irondequoit CSD. Spanish is one of my top subjects! I am fluent in Spanish and feel that I would be a wonderful teacher for anyone looking to learn the language. I studied Spanish for over a decade, and also lived in Salamanca, Spain for a year. It was this year where I mastered the language and grew to learn about its rich culture.

Ever since 2005 I have been focused on learning new languages and traveling. It all began in 2005 when I left as a Rotary Exchange Student to live with a host family in Italy. I did not speak a word of Italian but by the time I came home a year later I was fluent. Then I decided to get my Bachelors degree in Italy in Language Mediation and Cultures, I majored in Spanish and Russian, and all of my classes and coursework was in Italian. For my fourth year of college in Italy I won a scholarship to study in Spain for a year and this is when I mastered Spanish. While in Europe for college I was a private English tutor for four years. I tutored and taught Spanish to students of a variety of ages, needs, and backgrounds.
