A Little Bit About Me...

My educational background in psychology and early childhood education has given me the insight to allow student to figure out things themselves with a little prompting. My most successful tutoring has been in explaining things the way a student might relate to his own experience. Allowing time for listening gives me clues to what that experience might be.

Despite the fact that the children were all the same age, whatever developmental or cognitive delays a child might have, is not being addressed, therefore making the teaching environment, very stressful. Prior to the preschool classes, I taught as a substitute in the school district where I attended college.
