A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a nanny for a child with ADD for the past three summers. I know how to work with children with ADD very well because of that experience. I also was a volunteer teacher's aide for the first grade at my school my senior year of high school. I got to work with the children every day of that school year doing many different activities. I have also worked some with autistic children. I have shadowed speech pathologists that work with autistic children as well. I got to work even more with autistic children during that experience.

I love working with children of all ages. I understand that all children have a different way of learning, which does not make them "special", but unique as individuals. My aim is to provide a safe atmosphere for each child so that they know they are not being judged for what they do not know, but are being praised for their uniqueness, perseverence, and innate intellegence.
