Teaching is what I’ve been doing my whole life. In every position I’ve held, there has been an opportunity for me to teach or train. My first job post baccalaureate was Mental Health Worker for Caritas Peace. There, I frequently assisted in the JCPS classroom as a teaching assistant. I’ve conducted religious training workshops through university campus ministry and continue to do this at my church. My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : As a student of both Political Science and History, espcially with the latter, I have spent several years developing writing skills that have proven extremely successful for me in both of these areas.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a recent Bachelor's in Accounting, as well as 15+ years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit settings. While working at Thornhill Education Center, I had the opportunity to work with students and help teach GED classes. My main focus was math. I also had the opportunity to teach a level 1 accounting class for community education.
I don't think I have really developed a "unique style" by only teaching a year or so. I am a very patient person and I really like to see the "sparkle" in a students eye, when they truly understand something for the 1st time. I like to explain a concept and then give the student a problem and see if they get it. If not, I will go over as many times necessary...until they understand the material.
