Since graduating from my undergraduate program in 2007, I have had a passion for teaching and learning. My first teaching experience was working in Camden, New Jersey. I served as an intern art teacher for at-risk first through third graders in an after school/summer school program. I use verbal and visual techniques for teaching and prefer to add an element of kinetic learning for tutoring. I explain the material in the book, preferably after the students have read the chapter. I also provide time for questions and answers, as well as group discussions and projects. I rely on exams only to show me if the students are understanding the material. If not I offer to tutor them or suggest they find a tutor.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a bachelors degree in English Literature and a minor in Education. During these undergraduate years, I helped student teach regular English courses ranging from reading comprehension, essay writing, and literary analysis in various schools and grade levels. My grammatical skills are beyond proficient due to rigorous essay writing, research and literary, and also my extensive practice in writing poetry.
