Spanish is one of my top subjects! I lived in Santiago, Chile for 38 years teaching in a school for English speaking children. I am bilingual speaking both English and Spanish. I have been tutoring in Spanish for the past 2 years here in Ocala.

As I graduated from college with my California State Teaching Credential,I was able to teach 2nd grade for the Los Angeles City School District for three years. During that time I sought to gain as much experience and expertise as possible to prepare me for teaching in a school for missionary children overseas. My way of teaching can vary depending on the student because not all students learn the same. Some students can be completely clueless about a certain area or problem, while others may know a little more but get lost at a certain point. What I tend to do is to carefully go over the book instructions, chapter section, notes etc.. because I know that sometimes part the reason why they don't understand is because he/she did not read the instructions or did but still did not understand them. Afterwards I will let he/she start a problem and if he/she still has trouble, I will then explain very carefully and then I will ask if he/she understood; if not i will explain again if yes, then I will give him/her a different example very similar and won't let him see the notes to see if he really did in fact understood. I have always had a passion for teaching/helping children discover the pleasure of learning. I enjoy very much working with different cultures/languages -it is a learning experience for me. As a college athlete I always have been encouraged to help out the community. Because of my high level of math, I knew that I could really help others learn the material in a fun way. Math is something that has always been easy to me, and I have completed through calc 1,2,3 and Differential Equations. I scored in the top 96 percentile in arithmetic based math on my ADHD testing in 2006.
