During my college years, I have been working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education. I graduated on May 11, and will soon be getting my teaching certificate for elementary education. I have helped elementary students in and out of the classroom. I also tutored fellow peers when they were struggling with certain subjects.

I don't use a lesson plan or guided lessons, I let the kids lead. They usually know what they need help on and if they can figure out what they are having problems with, then everything usually starts making sense. I usually keep my laptop with me, I refer to it if there is something I can't answer or figure out how to start drawing. I don't rely on it, but usually use it as a reference tool. I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. As a teacher, I know that each student/ person learns in a different manner. Due to this my teaching methods vary with every person. Once I graduated I was immediately hired as a long term substitute teacher in South Georgia. I wasn't offered a teaching job for the next school year so I moved here to Spartanburg, SC.
