I find working with children rewarding. I am patent and understanding and cater to individual learning styles. I use my artistic sense to help students visually understand learning. I like to discover what my students already know about the topic and to expose any misconceptions. Brainstorming activities work well for me. I like to help define the topic in common terms, not the classic dictionary method. I use presentation, discussion, videos and hands on activities. Most of what I do is inquiry based.

How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story. I have taught remedial, basic, bilingual and honors level classes in Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Science in class room settings.
