My primary activities during my professional career have been teaching and counseling. My experience covers clients across the lifespan: from infants in early care and education through grand- parents in post-secondary education and college courses. I have taught and tutored the basics: reading, writing, composition, comprehension, fluency, basic mathmatical functions, etc. I have also taught major required and elective courses in the field of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Math can be fun, especially when applied to exciting applications. For my work at NASA and the MITRE Corporation I use concepts from Calculus I-II almost everyday. Inspiring students to become excited about math and science is one of my life-long goals. Step by step visual diagrams can be effective tools for describing complex ideas. A diverse education at Wesleyan University has prepared me to tutor many high school subjects. I earned my BA at Wesleyan in Music but I almost double majored in Environmental Science.
