Talent Development Tutoring

I have led several workshops about differentiation and developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood educators and parents over the last couple of years. I have been tutoring for elementary aged students for ten years now. Parents have seen real academic gains through the tutoring approach I take. To overcome areas of difficulty I follow children’s interests and talents. For some children I use Montessori didactic teaching materials to extend students learning. Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! A Little Bit About Me...

I received my bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph College after completing my planned program. Part of the certification program required many observational and teaching visits to a variety of school districts. My student teaching experience was in New Britain, CT. where I worked very closely with students on phonics and early reading skills. After my student teaching was completed and I graduated, I was asked to return to the same school to work as a long term substitute for a second grade class.
