As an MIT graduate, I was particularly driven to excel in science and mathematics courses so as to be able to apply these to engineering and technology problems. I subsequently obtained two doctorate degrees: one in medicine and the second in law. I am currently working on the development and patenting of medical devices to improve medical care for patients. With normal class size groups... the goal is to provide a lesson with real educational content but to deliver it in a totally entertaining format... usually organizing the students into groups to a) provide support for the challenged and b) excitement for the total class as each group competes against the others. one-on-one teaching requires that the objective(s) be well established and then carefully focus on the individual student's best learning method, be it: verbal, written, reading, hands-on, or all of the above.
