I am a recent graduate from Miami University. I have a degree in Adolescent/Young Adult Social Studies Education and my teaching certification is currently pending. I have over 60 credit hours completed towards a degree in music. My focus as a music student was voice, but I also spent a lot of time studying African American music. When I first attended Wilmington College, I was in early childhood education. I completed a whole semester of student teaching and volunteered for tutoring after school. I finally had decided that teaching was not for me because I wanted more of an office setting job so i decided to major in business management. I feel very strongly that every child has the ability to learn when they are given the right encouragement. While working on my Japanese minor I quickly discovered that finding a method that works for an individual student is the most important part of studying productively.
