I fundamentally believe anyone can learn. If a student isn’t grasping a concept, it just means I have to change my style of teaching. So what is my teaching style…anything that helps a student achieve his or her potential. But the one thing I teach all my students is how to find their learning style. For the last four years I have been at Cardigan Mountain School, where I taught English, Latin, Homeric Greek, ESL, and Ancient History. I collaborated with the English Dept., providing, via Power Point Lecture Presentations, the historical background to Tennyson’s epic account of the Light Brigade at Balaklava and Shakespeare’s Henry V, and, as part of the eight grade history seminar, I delivered a forty-minute lecture on Hitler and the Holocaust. In my time here I have also played in the faculty band, directed a student rock band or two, taught beginning guitar and marksmanship as clubs, and fulfilled the duties of Medical Driver, dorm parent, and sometimes videographer.

My teaching experience includes student teaching, substitute teaching, and several years of tutoring in both Vermont and Minnesota. I have just completed a student teaching experience at Winooski High School. In addition to feeling completely motivated I have just completed a Bachelors in Arts Degree in Secondary Education.
