I worked for 2 years as a teacher's assistant at a dance studio and I currently work at a public high school as an English, Science and Social Studies tutor. Writing is one of my top subjects! I taught this subject in the elementary level and had excellent results in it. I have also helped students in the upper levels to write. I have also tutored college students to write their compositions with great success. I enjoy writing myself just for fun.

I have taught PreK, Kindergarten, elementary and middle school for over thirty nine years. I have taught in different school districts in Texas both public and private. I have enjoyed this experience tremendously because I truly believe in the impact it can have on a child. The opportunity to work with a child is a responsibility worthwhile.

I feel that I am qualified for this position because I have 15 years of experience as a certified teacher. I have taught English II/CLA II for one year at the secondary level, twelve years in the first grade level ,one year as a fifth grade teacher and one year as a fifth/sixth grade teacher. My Texas life certificates include: Provisional Secondary English (6-12), Provisional Elementary English (1-8) and Provisional Elementary Self-Contained. The last three years I taught first grade at a campus that had been under a Reading First Grant and I had been trained in numerous reading strategies and activities.
