My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : Calculus is my strong subject. That requires a strong knowledge of Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry which I also possess. I have tutored and taught all math subjects up to the college undergraduate level, except for differential equations.
I began tutoring in 2006 for Sylvan Learning Center in Brownsville, TX. On August of 2009 I moved to Iowa to start a graduate program, there I was assigned diverse teaching duties. I have taught courses like Calculus I, II, and II. I have held recitations for Business Calculus courses as well. While at ISU, I also tutored for the Academic Success Center and on my own.
I have received only praise and good comments from both students, fellow teachers, and department administrators and staff. This is most certainly because I strive for excellency in my teaching.
I become a counselor, a friend, a mentor for my students. I try to understand their individual needs and encourage their collaboration as a group towards a common objective.
