A Little Bit About Me...

I was on honor roll in high school on a consistent basis. My best subjects were English and Writing. I attended Pennsylvania State University for Communications with a focus on English Writing and the study of Film and Media Arts. I have a thorough understanding of the English language and a strong knack for comprehension. I believe that I would be able to teach my techniques for not just memorizing subject matter but for comprehending and understanding it.
I help my students to ask questions about why something is this way or that way. It is not as simple as just memorizing subject matter in order to regurgitate it for the upcoming test. The purpose of teaching is to help others understand something that is known as true.

A Little Bit About Me...

In Full Sail, I was exposed to a style of teaching not unlike an automatic car wash; a quick brush through the curriculum, and the student was expected to come out knowledgeable about the topic. Unfortunately, I found that true mastery is best produced through hands-on, individual teaching that emphasized comprehension of the material. Oftentimes, I found myself clarifying information that a fellow student had failed to grasp in the lectures. I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school.
