I taught Pre-K for 1 year and Kindergarten for 1 year as well. The experience was wonderful and I enjoyed lesson planning, making props, teaching the children new things based on different themes and subjects. My comments on tutoring Spanish : Taught Spanish for grades 7 - 8 as a substitute teacher at Van Wyck Jr. High School from February to March 2014. Dual citizen of Spain and the United States. Studied at the Universidad Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain during the summer of 2007.

I was a substitute teacher for Wappingers Central School district from April 2013 to June 2014. I taught grades 6 - 12 for a variety of subjects including, but not limited to Social Studies, Spanish, English, Music, and Special Education. One particular position I held was that I was a substitute Spanish teacher at Van Wyck Jr. High School teaching grades 7 - 8 from February to March 2014. As a musician, before moving to the area, I was on the Executive Board of American Federation of Musicians Local 238 - 291. I have been playing French horn for 16 years and guitar for 13 years.

I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). I think that with the right guidance and put in the right environment, anyone can learn. I look forward to being that "right guidance."

I have a great passion when it comes to working with children and helping them to overcome any educational hurdles and achieve academic success.
