I completed a one-year French as a foreign language course in Martinique. I have taught several French for Beginners adult classes. I have a Bachelor of Art in History, predominantly American. I also pursued Engineering for my first year and plan to go back to College. I have completed through Calculus II and am also experienced in hands-on mechanical. I have limited tutoring experience, but I know I can listen and respond. Any experience came from helping others in classes during College.
I'm patient and listen to the student to see what they get and don't get about the premise of the lesson. Then we get to it. Careful reinforcement of the Correct method will ensure Remembrance and Results. Also, Lessons must be approached within the context of the Big Picture. Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated.

A Little Bit About Me...

I strongly believe that all students can find success as long as they work for it, and are encouraged to reach their goals. I am very patient with my students, and allow them to really think about the problem and work toward a workable solution. In my small group sessions I will usually present an example and have the students work on it while I go to each student to make sure they are understanding the problem.
