I like to work with students of any age. It is my belief that any person with a desire to learn can learn. I strive to make learning fun, practical, and related to real world application to help make the student want to learn the material more actively.
I have been involved in higher education since my 2nd year of college. I have been one of the tutors on the Adult Learning Center staff at the Johnson County Public Library in Franklin, Indiana since 1998, and my tutoring work has mostly been concentrated in teaching English for the past eleven years. I also spent approximately three years (2002-2005) tutoring boys at the Indiana Juvenile Correctional Facility (Indiana Boy’s School), covering mostly English, math and GED preparation. My education focused heavily on English and math, having taken the most advanced courses in each discipline. My English grades were almost always straight A’s, and I excelled in my English composition classes, which became for me some of the most enjoyable time spent during my educational life.
