I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade. I think it is so important for children to be successful in school so they enjoy their experience and want to go to school. I believe that all children learn in different ways and I will work with you and and your child to help discover how they learn best. I will then create lessons based on their learning style, such as hands on learning. By doing this I have found that children are more successful when they learning in a way that works best for them. I graduated from Southern CT State University in 2007 with a degree in Art Education. I have been teaching or substitute teaching in some capacity since my sophomore year of college. I have been exposed to several reading programs used in NEPA public schools. In addition to classroom experience, I have extensive experience working with students with ASD. I most recently worked as an ABA therapist. I am currently attending Misericordia University in pursuit of a Master's Degree in Special Education and anticipate graduation in December. I strive to let my passion for French motivate my students to achieve. I empower them to succeed by individualizing the subject matter and breaking it down into attainable goals. Students must see connections between themselves and the subject matter and in order to discover how it works by manipulate it in an engaging way.
