My comments on tutoring Spanish : I am only two courses away from completing my Spanish minor at Ball State University and have been taking Spanish classes for 9 years now. I could successfully help a second-year college level or lower.

I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. I am experienced in categories ranging from Biology to Accounting to baking. I won several Grand Champion awards in Indiana's Madison County 4-H program for Baking and Woodworking while I have A's in Chemistry, Accounting, Biology, Spanish, Calculus, and many many other subjects from Ball State University. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching Reading Strategies and Basic Math at a community college for approximately 10 years. I have also taught pre-school, 3rd/4th in one classroom, and 5th, the last 2 classrooms were self-contained. I have experience in substitute teaching on various levels in a variety of school corporations. I also taught one year of elementary art for a parochial school. Along with teaching at the community college, I tutor students in Basic Math.
Education does not stop with books. I incorporate "real life" experiences with the material being presented. I try to make the subject fun and meaningful to the student. I love working with teenagers, however, over the last five years I've realized that I much prefer working with them on a small group or one-on-one basis. Especially with a foreign language it is much easier for the student to grasp concepts one-on-one. I am familiar with many websites the student can use to supplement tutoring time too.
I graduated with a BA in Spanish Education in 2005. I then taught in IL for a year at a small school teaching Spanish 2, 3, and 4. I then got accepted at Purdue University as a Spanish Graduate Teaching Assistant. While there I taught 4 semesters of SPAN 102. After grad school I got a job in Fort Wayne, IN teaching Spanish 1 and 2 at a large suburban high school.
