A Little Bit About Me...

Over the last 12 years I have taught children in most settings. I also have experience tutoring adults in math. My current job is working with children who have cognitive disabilities and supporting their families. I graduated from Prince George's Community college with an Associate's degree and from Bowie State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am currently enrolled in a Master's program for counseling.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching individuals of all ages and cultures. I adopt a hands on approach to learning and have extreme patience for slower learners. My main goal during teaching is to help one have a better understanding of the subject by relating to the material. I am actually in the process with my students, their victories are my victories. I want my students to be proud of the work that they have done and the achievements that they have made. I give my students the information, I show them how to apply the information through modeling, I practice with them and then I release them to apply the technique themselves. Afterward I assign an project for an artifact that allows them through written words to translate their knowledge to another person.
