My comments on tutoring Earth Science : 2 bachelor of science degrees and a land surveyor's license

my teaching style depends upon how that person learns. so many times you have young people that have very bright minds, but maybe they are a "visual" learners. in other words, they have to see it a certain way. i had teachers that i really loved and did well, but there were others that taught the same subject and i couldn't get anything out of the class.

Coming from a smaller school, I understand the importance of one on one communication and teaching. I love watching children's eyes light up from learning and this is what I strive for with every teaching moment. I know that children become discouraged when they do not acquire the skills other students seem to master almost immediately. I know that parents become equally discouraged when they want their child to succeed but do not know how to help them do so. I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student. As a tutor, I have worked with many different types of students and I found a way to relate the information to something they were interested in. I believe all students are capable of learning the material; it just has to be presented in a way they understand.
I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry. I have a strong background in all science courses and maintained a 3.87 GPA throughout college.
