After teaching for 12 years, I decided to step away from the classroom in order to spend more time with my own two kids. I taught in both Rochester City and Brighton, with kids in grades 7-12. Many of my students struggled in school for all different reasons. I would love the opportunity to work with you. School can be really frustrating, but it doesn't have to be. After finishing Graduate School, I immediately began working as a 7th Grade Summer School English Teacher. Along with a one month Long-Term Substitute position teaching 9th and 11th grade English and Advanced English, I was prepared to take on a full-time role. My teaching style is one on one with students making continuous progress at their own paces. I love to work with elementary students aged ten and under. Working with non-tradionat students was fun and challenging. I had to relate to them differently (of course) from the younger kids.
