A Little Bit About Me...

I have a tendency to push myself, I was persuing a double major in college in Math and Musical Theater but made a last minute decision to focus on my math career. I then pushed myself to achieve a master's degree in Secondary Education in only a year. I began tutoring in college when I decided that I wanted to go into teaching. I gained experiences tutoring Statistics, all levels of Calculus and college Algebra. • As a NESCAC undergraduate, I explored many areas of study. A Little Bit About Me...

For the last two years I have taught English to freshman and sophomore students at a F.O.C.U.S. high school in Charlotte, NC. I taught three classes/blocks of students, all according to the North Carolina State Curriculum. I made lesson plans that were interactive and fun. I developed bonds with my students, the way I wish I would've had when I was a teen in high school. I became the teacher I wished I had. I was their teacher, their counselor, and their role model. They came to me for almost anything, even if it was a band aide. I was laid off in March, because of budget cuts. Born as a Chinese national and I speak fluent Chinese Mandarin language and I studied Business in Accounting and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1990 and my mathematical course I always get "A" on my grade (I even get 105 on my test score, believe it or not) and I still love math. Therefore I can tutoring not only business in Accounting and also Math or language in Chinese.
I enjoy teaching one on one more then in a group class setting and I do enjoy teaching individual more then in a group setting. I do wish to teach "Chinese" as a personal language when I retire in the future if we don't have SS since I am a baby boomer (hope this is not true)
