I bring a lot of energy to the classroom and ensure that I am over-prepared for each lesson. I enjoy involving every student in a classroom setting and encourage an active, open learning environment. I also believe it is a very valuable experience to be able to work with students one-on-one. I like to work with each student to figure out his or her individual learning style and needs. I earned all A's in my graded graduate courses at Teachers College, Columbia University. I believe this reflects my ability to study, learn, research and write research papers. My Master of Arts degree is in Psychology in Education. The courses for this program were in Developmental Psychology and Measurement and Evaluation. Developmental Psychology includes cognitive and language growth. Measurement and Evaluation includes the assessment of individuals, groups, programs and products. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BS in biology with a teaching emphasis as well as an AS and AA. My college education has included classes in anatomy and physiology, geology, physics, organic and standard chemistry, zoology and botany. I have been a member of a field research team and involved in my own research project. I have tutored students in not only biology but also many other academic disciplines.
