I have a strong passion for literature. I scored in the top 90th percentile on the Kapstone senior exit exam for Literature. I am proficient in areas from Chaucer and the middle ages, to Shakespeare, early to contemporary British Literature. My area of special interest is American Literature. I am extremely well read in Southern and Appalachian Literature as well as American Literature from the 1930s. I have been tutoring both peers and high school students during my stay at Lincoln Memorial University. Students regularly asked me to proofread their papers, and parents frequently contacted me for help with high school students senior research papers. The teaching style that brings the best success I've found is centered on two points. First of all, it is based on listening, which means getting the student to talk.
